This research takes place on the lands of the Kaurna people, in the area known as Wonggayerlo (Gulf St. Vincent). The deep connection with nature and collective knowledge of the Kaurna people allowed the environment to flourish and thrive. The beautiful landscapes of Australia are owed to First Nations people and their respect, care, and knowledge of the environment. We respect and value the connection between Kaurna people and their land, and pay our respects to elders past, present, and emerging. This always was and always will be indigenous land.
